Today Metamar benefits from it`s 1800 employees, 3 manufacturing factories, owned 11 quarries and other exclusive quarries around the globe.
Metamar has earned a prominent reputation in the global stone industry from its inception. It played a pivotal role in introducing “Light Bursa Beige” marble to the international stone market in 1989, establishing themselves as leaders in promoting the export of beige stone from Turkey. Furthermore, as the demand for travertine grew, Metamar was among the early adopters in developing advanced machinery lines. This forward-thinking approach transformed the quality of travertine production, transitioning it from traditional methods to modern technological processes. Metamar is well-known for its contributions to the international stone industry and is recognized for its signature stones. In 2005, Metamar was the first company to mine Tundra Grey in its own quarry, giving the stone its name as the ‘Tundra’ and introducing this now well-known grey stone to the world. Metamar Marble has also introduced other trend-setting stones in the design and natural stone industry today, such as Bianco Dolomiti, Nordic Grey, Aero Cream, and Simena. Alpaca, Nordbay, and Oceania are the new stones from Metamar’s own quarry, recently presented to the industry.
